Dushni Weerakoon is Executive Director of the Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka and Head of its Macroeconomic Policy Research. Weerakoon has extensive experience including as an Appointed Member of the Monetary Policy Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka. Weerakoon has also served as director on the Boards of corporate and academic entities. Weerakoon’s research and publications focus on macroeconomic policy, international economics and trade. Weerakoon earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Queen's University of Belfast and holds a MA and PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester.
