Bio

Heidi Dahles (MSc & PhD, Radboud University, Netherlands) is adjunct professor at the School of Social Sciences, University of Tasmania. Prior to this appointment, she held academic positions at Tilburg University and Vrije University Amsterdam (both in the Netherlands), and Griffith Business School (Brisbane). Her academic involvement with Cambodia commenced in 1999, including as director of a multidisciplinary research program funded by the Netherlands Research Council, and as visiting professor at the Cambodia Development Research Institute (Phnom Penh). Her research interest is in the political economy of Southeast Asia.

The East Asia Forum office is based in Australia and EAF acknowledges the First Peoples of this land — in Canberra the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people — and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.
