Julian Dierkes

Bio

Julian Dierkes is Associate Professor at the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs, University of British Columbia. Dierkes’ past research has spanned national identity construction, organisational behaviour, legal training reform in Japan, and supplementary education worldwide. He is currently focused on democratisation mining policy in Mongolia. Dierkes is principle author of Mongolia Focus, which provides strategic analysis of contemporary Mongolian politics, resources and society.

The East Asia Forum office is based in Australia and EAF acknowledges the First Peoples of this land — in Canberra the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people — and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.
