Ulv Hanssen is an Associate Professor at Soka University's Faculty of Law. He holds a PhD in Japanese Studies from Freie Universitat Berlin. His research mainly focuses on Japan's foreign and security policy in the postwar period. He is the author of Temporal Identities and Security Policy in Postwar Japan (Routledge, 2020). He has also done research on Japan's climate change policy.
