Ryan Hass is director of the Thornton China Center and the Koo Chair in Taiwan Studies in the Foreign Policy Program at the Brookings Institution. He also is a non-resident affiliated fellow at the Tsai China Center at Yale Law School. Hass focuses his research and analysis on enhancing policy development on the pressing political, economic, and security challenges facing the United States in Asia.
